A few gutless 12 valves I've run into were caused by a plugged up cat.
If you had a pyro it would have high egts too.
Ditch the cat when you install a bigger exhaust system.

truck

I gutted the afc and changed the fuel filter. Wow!! The truck runs now and the turbo SCREAMS! I am going to ditch the cat and put a dynomax straight through on it next.

hmmm..... this is why i drive a truck with a VE pump,.... screw the muffler, get a 5 inch exhaust and just leave it in the box

taking the plate all the way out is a bad deal i watch A buddy do that and his truck stayed wide open cause the shutdown solenoid doesn't have the power to shut it down so he had to stuff a coat in the turbo.... it was the funniest i've ever seen
