04 exhaust in a 97???
Hi, I've found a couple of folks that have updated the exhaust in 04 trucks to 5". they say their trucks came factory with 4" turbo to tailpipe. Is that so, and will it fit in my 97? If not, what adjustments need to be made? From what I can tell, the header pipe (downpipe) from the turbo for the 4" upgrades is 3" flaired to 4". Hopefully the 04 pipe is the same and will bolt in? Doubt that this is an original observation or thought process, so what say ye seasoned owners. I'm looking for an inexpensive way to make the motor breathe easier and lower exhaust temps. Not concernced with noise, hose power, or bragging rights. thanks,
