Turbo Oil Drain Tube ?????
When I installed my new turbo I had to bend the oil drain tube a little to make it clear and fit. It is about 1/2 the diameter that it used to be. I did this before reading the directions again and adjusting the outer compressor housing to make it fit! ![]() Will this hurt anything or should I get a new one and readjust the outer compressor housing so it will fit better? Thanks

I was jsut concerned maybe the oil will not come out of the turbo quick enough and it would cause the seals in the turbo to go bad, but I have no issues yet.

yea not that much oil is going into the turbo in the forst place. sad to say but i think the turbo is the last thing oiled as the oil goes through the engine. someone correct me if im wrong here tho. but the return line is much bigger than the input line anyway. but i did the same thing before i realized i could turn the compressor housing

I just did mine, it's bent in 4 places!!! Wish I know about the housing adjustment. I didn't receive any instructions, so I can claim simple stupidity........ By the way, does anyone sell a s/s braided line for this very thing? You can't use regular hose anyway, correct?

Always wondered about this Source Automotive Light Truck Diesel Performance - Flexible Turbo Oil Drain Regular hose won't like the heat but anything that won't melt should be fine And you need to make sure that the center section is clocked so the feed is as directly above the drain as possible for optimal turbo life
