Intercooler boots question

Hi, was under the truck Sunday and looking at the intercooler boots. Both are very soft and easy to compress. Is this normal or should they be firm like a radiator hose? I think they are probably original equipment. How to I test and if they need to be replaced, does anyone know the size of each? I found this place which seems to be inexpensive. Your thoughts please.

The boots in your link appear to be geared towards gassers and are too small.
Stock boots are soft and expand so much under high boost it's scary but they seem to hold up.
Your boost gauge will tell you if you have a leak, a small leak will make a big difference.

Intercooler Boots

Hi, Do you know the size of the stock boots. It appears that they offer up to 5". I will measure tonight, but I think they are 4" factory..but not sure

I got all of mine from that silicone intake place. they are very thick, way thicker than the factory ones. so far they're holding up great, but i've not gotten over 26 psi of boost yet. gonna had governer springs and fuel plate in the next week or so, maybe we'll test them out some more. my buddy has them on his truck and they hold at 45psi for him.
