98 v10 to 12v chassis wiring

I'm getting ready to pick up a 98 v10 with a bad engine to swap my 12v into. My thinking was to use my 96 dash, engine harness, pcm, etc to make things simple. I'm not sure whether the chassis wiring is the same on all 2nd gens though, such as exterior and interior lights. Anyone have experience here?

Good luck. '98 is when Dodge went to switched grounds as opposed to the switched hot we have. If you swap out all the harnesses that might do the trick, but things like the ignition might not work. It would be worth your while to get a '98 FSM.

But when swapping out the whole dash I will be able to get all the accessories hooked up to it? I guess another way to put it, would swapping the dash and 12v electronics be simpler than trying to get everything working with the v10 cluster?
Have you done a similar swap?
