Misfire/chugging

I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong with my 12v. Its a 95, 175hp motor. All stock other than the stock plate slid forward a bit and the starewheel turned forward a bit. Did this before and after I did those mods.

It sounds like one cylinder is really weak or not firing much at all. Its not as noticeable at idle, but as soon as there's a load on the motor its very obvious. Enough that it shakes the truck. As the rpms go up it still does it but by 2000 rpms its barely noticeable, but still there.
Here's a video. Its from my phone so quality isn't the best but you get the idea.

http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid267.photobucket.com/albums/ii285/gr8shot49/VID_20111110_165126.mp4

Truck is parked til I get it fixed. Plan for now is to pull the injectors and have them tested and reset the pop pressure. Any other thoughts?

video doesnt work...

Just for laughs, take a 19mm wrench and loosen the injector lines at the pump one at a time while its running. see if all of them are shooting the same amount of fuel and it should be easy to pinpoint the problematic cylinder.

If you find that one of the delivery valve holders tries to spin when you try to loosen the injector line, its VERY likely that you have a broken barrel.

See if the video works now. I can never get it right from my phone.

Ill try what you said.

Is it going to hurt it to drive it as is? I might take it to a shop if it is something pump related. I've never messed with dv's before.

That sounds pretty damn bad...

And yes its not a great idea to keep driving it like that, it creates huge amounts of torsional vibration on the crankshaft.

If you do find that one of the DV holders appears loose, and you can turn it in by hand a couple of turns, thats a dead giveaway of a split barrel. It is not a repair you can do yourself, so dont even worry about that!

Yeah its gotten worse over the last thousand miles or so. When I first fired up the motor and started driving it (in the Chevy) it barely did it at all. I assumed it was normal at first because it was so faint. But it has steadily gotten worse. Its also a little worse when the motor is cold too. Not sure if that means anything though.

Ok. Last night I tried unscrewing the injector lines off the pump one at a time. None of them tried to spin the dv holders or anything. They all came off normally. Seemed like cylinders 1 and 3 made the least bit of change when I loosened the hold down bolts. The misfire got more pronounced but there weren't multiple misfires like there were on 2, 4, 5 & 6.

All seemed to spit out about the same amount of fuel. Hard to tell if there's any real difference though.

Does that help anyone figure out what's going on?

Has the timing been checked?
It probably should be.

It hasn't yet. I wouldn't be surprised if it'd slipped a tad but not much as I don't get a ton of blue or white smoke at idle. Only a little for the first 10 seconds or so when the motor is started when its cold.

Its basically just got a misfire on a cylinder but I don't know how to determine the cause.

Bump for more ideas! Still thinking about pulling the injectors and sending em out to be tested and have the pop pressures reset.
