Hey All!
I've got a 1996 ram 2500 ex. cab long bed auto with 176000 miles that I cant even really drive anymore because the trans is acting up. Didn't ever have this problem until it got cold. But it just wont shift at all. When I first start out it cant decide if it wants to be in first or second. Then when it decides to stay in second it hunts between third and od and its hit and miss if it even stays in od. Alot of the time just stays in third. I'm not sure how these 47re's shift but I think it goes 1, 2, 3, od, lockup? Right? (Sorry don't know auto's) and if thats how it's supposed to be mine goes 1,2,1,2,1,2,3,od,3,od,3,od,L-U,od,L-U,od,3 and usually stays in 3 unless its slightly warmer outside. Sorry for my "shift pattern' but thats the only way to describe it

Now i've got a code 15- no vss signal( but replaced the sensor and still have the code) a code 22-Ect sensor voltage too low( also replaced that sensor) and at one point had a code 24- tps voltage too high( checked it and was .96 at idle still, cleared the code and hasnt came back since) and just today got a code 37-has to do with the torque converter clutch and trans temp sensor but cant recall exactly what. Also my Abs light and brake light are on most the time. Sometimes they're off and sometimes they flicker. My cruise control doesnt work. The little light turns but it wont set. I think all this stuff is related somehow but not sure whats doing it. I have replaced both batteries with brand new ones, changed tranny fluid and new filter. That seemed to help it for a few days. Now i've been trying to figure this out for a few months and I just cant think anymore so i need your guys opinions on things. I've searched and havent found anything quite like my problem, but some close. I need this truck to shift right. Please help. Thanks in advance, Kyle
BTW the tranny is a built stage 2 ats 47re.
