horrible sound from under the truck please help

Please help. I have a 94 12v auto 207,000mi. i have noticed for the last few months every now and then that when i would start the truck i would get a odd high pitch grinding / whinning sound if i shut the truck off and restarted it it would go away, also if i was comming to a stop i would hear it, It would go away if i wraped the throttle. Motor runs fine trans shifts and drives fine. This morning i drove the truck 70mi shut it off everything to that point had been fine. started it up to leave and heard the sound. nothing i did would make it go away. Drove home 70mi again and at speed no sound only when parked worse when trans is in park. i layed under truck and diff sounds like its comming from flywheel, converter oil pan area. Any idea whats about to blow up on me????

sounds like converter or stator bushing is probally done and causing the pump to grind from misalignment

I would start by pulling the starter. Sounds like starter hanging in flywheel. If that's not it, then drop the trans and start looking, it ain't going to get better without some help.

Don't trade your excellent, expensive OEM starter in for a cheap Chinese auto parts starter, it won't last.
Either have it rebuilt or don't trade it for a core, save it for rebuilding later.
