Thermostat Seal

I recently bought pn 3934373, a thermostat which is supposed to take some of the swing out of my temps. However, it came as just the thermostat and didn't come with a seal. I see on Geno's that they sell the gates thermostat with a rubber washer/seal. Does Cummins assume I should re-use the seal?

Thanks,
Liam

I just changed my thermostat and would not re-use the seal. My old seal was quite flexible and had some age on it so I put both new seals in and its leak free

It seems that that the seal comes as a separate part, least that is what has happened to me. If your old seal is flexible and clean, it can be reused. There is a product called "The Right Stuff". Buy it and use it to install the seal. The stuff is amazing. Not cheap, but worth it. You will find 1,000,000 other uses for it too.

I reused my old seals, over 3 years later, no leaks.
