mystery switch problem on my '95

wired up my mystery switch today on the '95 in my sig and it doesn't really work because the TC still cycles lock/unclock

Tapped PIN 54 at the PCM and grounded the switch under the dash. I used a simple on/off rocker switch with LED but didn't hook up the LED. When the TC unlocks the LED comes on.

Is the LED the problem? Should I just get a simple on/off toggle switch?

Thanks,

Switch lighting can cause problems but only if you have positive battery power connected to the switch.

My bet is a bad ground.
It's may not be your ground to your switch but rather the ground that supplies the place where you connected.
Did that make sense?

Het Bill,

my ground was good, turned out it was the LED switch. I replaced it with a simple on/off toggle and it works great

I should have done this 3 years ago when I got the truck

Thanks,
Kent
