quick valve spring ?

installing valvesprings right now on a friends truck, if #1 int and exh lash is loose does that indicate tdc? because only one rocker lash is loose on #6 right now. could that just be the valve lash is off?

Thanks, I ended up figuring it out i was just 2nd guessing the method I used, but now after gov springs, valve springs, and resetting the valves, and a trans temp gauge, the abs and parking brake light is on..?

could it be the small, plastic vaccume lines that come from the cowl? They were dry as heck and cracked, but I thought they were for the a/c
