another timing question

trying to figure out what to do with my timing, im at 18* now and im running mighty diesel head bolts which are stonger that stock, i was running about 30psi of boost and my head gasket blew after i just got the motor back together, i had the head decked (about 4-5 thousands taken off) will this affect the timing any?

im thinking i need to bring it back to 17* or so just so my hg will last but i heard somewhere that decking the head can mess you up and that you have to run different injector washers?
