Bd tranny rebuild

hey guys i am looking to add some power to my 12v but i know the stock tranny will not hold up, so i am looking into a 47rh rebuild kit (BD DIESEL STAGE 3 - HEAVY DUTY) anybody running one of these? will this kit give me more room to work with adding power? thanks

If your short term plans don't include a massive amount of power and you have a good working trans now, then just change to a billet converter from a reputable company and address the internal hydraulic pressure by either replacing entire valve body or putting a shift kit in yours. The whole body is much easier, but the kit is less than half the costs. These two changes will make you stock trans handle upwards of 400 HP. If you plan on boosted launches, locked shifts, etc., then your going to need a whole lot more.
