Engine Racing on start up after rebuild

I just rebuilt my 12 valve new crank, new cam shaft, pistons the whole nine yards. I also added 4k gov springs, with the 60 lbs valve springs. I also set the timing at 16.0 degrees. Now the problem starts, i bleeded the injectors, and truck started right up, i was elated, it ran for about 10 seconds then picked up rpm by itself, i cut it off, and after a min or 2 started it up again it immediatly hit the high rpms again, i killed it once again checked my trottle linkage found no problems tried to start it once again and it wouldn't start. So in a nut shell high rpms after a few seconds on start up and now nothing. I think my timing gear slipped if any one has any ideas about what might be happening please, please any insight will be helpful

you have probably overtightened your governor springs. If so you will have to give it a little throttle to get it to start up again. Loosen it up 2-3 clicks per side and all should be well.

It's the gov springs. Start over and use calipers to dial them in. Can't always go by clicks...

When done, you shouldn't even have to adjust the idle.

Check closely for any shims at the bottom of the springs. Mine wouldn't idle until I took them out.

got it running fine thanks for the info it helped with getting the truck running!! But another problem has arisen The truck is running and and idling fine (except for the number 5 injector which is bubbling need to tighten that one a bit) I have a banging coming from my bell housing it is very metalic sounding, the only thing done there was a new clutch i am thinking that the new clutch might be slightly thicker that the old one and is rubbing a bit, or I am missing a 9mm 1/4 inch drive deep socket suddenly..... hummmm
