12v 2wd to 4wd swap

hey i have a 24 valve 4x4 with an auto regular cab long bed. and im thinking of picking up an ext cab long bed, 2wd 12v depending on how hard it would be to make it 4wd. what would it entail, besides throwing the 24v front axle under it, the t-case, and some different driveshafts? im not sure and im just getting into it now so any help would be appreciated.

#1 issue is that the 2wd frame is missing the 4wd link mounts.....
If you go to leafs is could be a weekend swap....

I'm curious also. I have a 2wd and wanting to covert. I wonder if the spring perches on a 2wd are the same as 4wd. I know I will have to build tabs for the link bars. I wonder if you would also have to swap the K member. Wish I could help you but I'm hunting the same info. Anyone know of a thread on this already.

I know spring and shock mounts are BOTH different, I picked up some fender liners from the junk yard off of a 2wd, they don,t have the cut out like the 4wds have for the shock tower.
