Nv5600 swap questions

Ok, I have several questions that are pretty specific to my situation. Let me start by saying I don't need any input that states keep the 5 spd and rebuild it (way cheaper, better, whatever...)

I am working on putting an nv5600 six speed in my 97 2500 4x4 that had an nv4500 in it.

I already have a rebuilt 6 spd bought, [it is out of an 01] and I have the 6 speed clutch already due to the upgraded input shaft on my old five speed. I also have the wider crossmember bought. I know I will have to have the drive shafts shortened and lengthened, but my front drive shaft is due for a rebuild, does anyone know if one out of an 01 will bolt right In?

I want to know if my np241 ld transfer will bolt up to the six speed? Is the np241 dhd any longer if i decide I want to put one of those in later? I have the 27 spline ld np241 now. Will the light duty transfer case stand up to the power or will it be the next thing to go?

Also I hear there is some sort of 4x4 shift linkage bracket i need to buy for the transfer because it no longer bolts to the side of the transmission. Anyone know where I can buy just the bracket? Will one out of a salvage truck work? Also what is involved in the reverse wiring harness extension? Can i do it by splicing in wire or do i need special one and were do I get it?

Thanks in advance.

A couple ways to go on the shift linkage.... You can get one out of a later '98 or newer, as they bolt to the floor pan instead of the transmission... or, you can do like I did, and just build the brackets to put your shift linkage on the NV5600.
Here's some pics of mine, about half way down on the thread. Trans & transfer case interchange 95 Dodge 3500 dually reg cab 12V

There's quite a few threads on this...and lots of info in them , after you dig through all the "I know better than you" BS! haha
Good luck, and dont' forget to take pics! You're gonna love the 6 speed...at least I sure do!
