Motor problems or imagination...
Ok so here laitly I've noticed my trucks egt has been running higher than normal. Normal cruseing im runnin between 800 and 1000 and about 8 psi. My truck has been ticing not a loud tic but about 2k I can hear it and I figure it's the injectors. It starts and idles fine. Every once in a while when I take off in 2nd (rairly use first) but I let out on the clutch like I always do and it will hesitate or bog for a second and blow black smoke like crazy and then it will clear up and be fine. Also I baby my truck rairly ever reving past 2k before I shift and never accelerate hard yet the best mpg I can get is 15. Some days it runs fine and quiet and other days it seems to run rough and loud. I know its a 12v but does any of this sound unusual and could it all be linked somehow? I think I need new injectors truck has 295k on it with stockers. Does anyone else have any advice or insight? Maybe its just my imagination?
