Bad news :*(

Well just found out that my torque converter is slipping. Was getting ready to do some engine tune up on it and my buddy Todd said it was slipping and it wouldn't be a good idea if i tuned it up anymore. So now I will be probably be buying a new torque converter soon. Anybody chime in on some good brands or decent prices on some. Looking for a better one then a stock converter because im sure it will start to slip again soon. I heard ATS and suncoast makes some nice one, chime in please for better advice. Thanks Josh

kindof curious as to how he came up with the conclusion that your TC is slipping....?

The TC is a fluid coupling, its supposed to slip LOL

Is it the torque converter clutch thats slipping or is it a mis-diagnosed slipping trans...?

Either way, your tranny is going to need some lovin if you want more power. throwing a new TC on there is going to be a waste of money when your tranny grenades a few weeks/moths down the road and fills your new TC with crap!

I'm going to be going through DTT most likely for my trans parts. They seem to have a very good reputation and great prices too.

I'm confused on what some of those "it"'s are. If you do need a torque converter here is the link to the DTT stuff. I would shop around, search the forum, and find whats right for you before you spend a bunch of money.
