Well heres my situation. Ive had my truck apart for quite some time and finally have it back together. We tried starting it last night, got everything hooked up tryed to start it and.... Nothing. I checked the starter by jumping it from the battery. Looked at the connections and gave up after an hour or so. Me and buddy checked a few other things tonight, checked the relay, while we were looking we noticed the fuel shutoff isnt getting power. It gets power from the starter relay. We checked the relay wiring, We have power at the Pink w/black wire. power at yellow and red, and nothing at the brown wire. Another thing we noticed is the radio doesnt work and the blower motor is also inop. Im not sure what else to look at. this is irritating the hell out of me. I need some help guys Im not sure why or how all this is related.
Did you take some electrical connectors apart? Did you check fuses? I blew a 40 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood once. Positive for starter solenoid was touching the steel tranny cooling line.

the starter would not turn over. the starter solenoid and fuel shutof are not getting power. how would any of this affect the radio and blower motor not working?
so if im understanding nothing in the whole truck is getting power? and you said you have just put the truck back together. What kind of work did you just do to it?

I pulled the motor to have it painted and worked over. Pulled the bed, doors, hood etc. off the the truck to paint it. I had to patch the floor, fix the rockers (rust holes). I pulled the engine harness out so I could paint the fire wall. I checked all of the fuses and there fine the starter relay has power and ground. Whille the truck was apart I deleted the grid heater and the aux battery. But I dont think that should matter
Would the truck not start if the PCM is bad? Reason Im asking, and I just remembered this, My buddy was having a problem with his truck not shifting into OD, his truck is an 01 and because my truck was apart at the time he switched his PCM with mine. WOuld switching the 2 have anything to do with that? I assume there completely different. this would explain the blower motor not working, the radio not working, and the truck not starting. any thoughts? im sure most if not all the signal inputs are controlled by the PCM. One more thing my truck was converted from an auto to manual by the previous owner, but the truck ran fine no issues ever! before
We switched PCM's to see if it would fix his OD shift problem, But it didnt work so I put mine back in my truck. But im wondering if switching them may have done some damage to mine???
