I just bought my 1st Cummins Diesel, and so far I like it. Ive been reading and think I want to put 3k or 4k GSK springs in it. Does anyone on here know where I can get them installed locally in North Carolina. I live in Sanford, NC looking for a good shop for the intall.
Thanks in Advance
I would say im pretty mechanically inclined. After reading those instructions doesnt seem to bad. Only thing that worries me is droping one of the sims in the pump etc. Those instructions sound simple though if thats all there is to it. SHould exhuast valaves be replaced also, forgot to ask about that. What brand GSK kit do you guys recommend.
Thanks
It's easy.
There is a tough bolt on the shut off solenoid around back but even that's not too bad.
I used a set from Pac Brake and got them from a sponsor here for a very good price.
However, the Pac Brake instructions tell you to leave in the large springs. If you do, you can not get all of the shims out. So, pull all of the springs to get the shims.
Also, I found that using needle nose pliers to turn the spring retainer was the easy way.
You meant replace the exhaust valve springs, not valves - yes?
Doing a gsk is like eatin potato chips you can't do just one!!!!!
