Hey just orderd some gauges from Genos Garage, i got...
EGT 100* to 1500*
Fuel Pressure 0 to 30psi
Boost 0 to 40 psi and...
Transmission Temp. 140* to 320*
i got a 3 gauge A Pillar mount and the mount that goes over the steering wheel. i got a pretty good idea how to mount everything and my friend has a 96 (joe?) 12v and he just did a boost and EGT so he can help me with that but how about the Fuel Pressure and trans temp. gauges and "probes." any tips about anything related to this stuff would be GREAT...also i did a few searches but i dont know my comp didnt retrieve much? only like 4 threads totally not related? Welp whatever you guys got!! Thanks
Pyro gauge - Like ^ said, make sure you dont hit the divider when drilling.
Boost - Theres a plug under the intake manifold, right in the middle youl know it when you see it, unscrew it and screw the bolt with boost line in its place.
Trans Temp - I have to order this part from ginos (link below) but you might not have to due to the year of your truck, I have a 97 and my trans lines dont have the threaded part were the sending unit goes.
Fuel Pressure - Didnt do it.
depending on where you put your boost gauge be careful not to kink the line so make sure it doesnt make sharp turns specialy if its on the pillar, it doesnt read when that happens..... for obvious reasons
I read genos directions a few times i was just looking for tips/opinions on what i bought, if those gauges will work the best for me and what not. pretty much just any type of confidence booster haha
the only gauge that gave me a fit was the fuel pressure gauge. i could'nt find a 1/8 pt needle valve in 3 counties. i had to order it from napa. make sure you have everything on hand before you tear it apart.

Thread the boost tubing though some 1/4" hose, it will prevent kinking, cuts and chafing.
Makes the tubing 500% easier to deal with plus it's protected for the future.
I use drip irrigation tubing, cheap, about $4 for 50 feet.
I use it on the fuel pressure gauge also.
Your 30 psi fuel pressure gauge is going to be pegged most of the time and will start reading wrong because of it.
You need at least 40 psi, preferably 60 psi.
I wouldn't even bother installing it, send it back.
This is where I put my trans temp sender. I opt for putting it in the hot line coming off the trans as this is the location of the absolute hottest temps you can see in the trans. The above setup I used cost around $25 for all the fittings. This setup gets the tip of the sender immersed in oil, but doesn't occlude flow of oil. You get almost instant readings of oil temp. Putting the sensor anywhere else besides in this line does not show the highest temps of oil. Stay away from the cheaper brass compression fittings as they can vibrate loose, but I've not seen any issues with my setup as the fittings are designed for repairing high pressure steel hydraulic lines. You will have to purchase the fittings from your local heavy duty truck/equipment repair shop. Places like NAPA and such may make hydraulic lines, but rarely stock the above fittings. You can get a couple of feet of oil rated 1/2" hose, 3/8"MPT X 1/2"barb fitting, 1/2" MPT X 1/2" barb fitting, 2 #8 hose clamps and replace that horrible anti drain valve located in the line going to the cooler/exchanger under the turbo. Cheap insurance to protect your trans. Here's a pic showing that:
Thats an awsome setup RPegram, im going to try to replicate that to the best of my ability... also for anyone wondering i called Genos Garage today where i got all my gauges and mounts and asked if they could give me a fuel pressure gauge rated for more then 30psi and i got that all fig. out the org. price was $565 for everything ..THEN she switched the gauge gave me a discount on the mounts and since i have to wait an extra few days she gave me free shipping...i was like OKAY!! came out to $435.
Thats what I bought, installed in minutes, and works great. I would recommend it.
