What kind, brand of trans fluid should I put into my 95 auto? Just wondering because i Noticed its low and I have some on the shelf but I dont think its the correct stuff.
I use Valvoline ATF+4
It says it is for Chrysler transmissions requiring MS-9602 (ATF+2..ATF+3..ATF+4) and according to the link above, it will work on your 1995
sheesh!!
you want one of us to fill it up to the mark
and then to
check regularly for leaks too??
man, if you can't get it figured out , maybe you should not drive it

AMSOIL Synthetic is different from other synthetics. AMSOIL is a Group IV oil, whereas the "synthetics" you find at WalMart etc are a Group III (mineral oil base) product.
I don't claim to be an expert, but the plethora of 47RH/47RE problems that I've read about don't seem to be due to running a particular fluid. The last time I dropped my pan I refilled it with ATF+4, but I'll probably use Dex III on the next change. I've never heard of a poor-shifting transmission being magically fixed by running ATF+4. Likewise, I've yet to hear of one taking a dump after being fed Dex III. Has anyone out there experienced such a situation? There are lots of things that can bring down one of these transmissions, but I have a feeling that ATF choice isn't one of them. Just because something costs more doesn't necessarily mean it's any better.
WOW! there are some people on here that are dictionaries .lol
