Have you checked it with the trans dip stick to make sure it is full? If you check fluid with engine not running and engine running and in neutral, does level drop? If no drop, then pump is not working and time to tear into it to find out why.
Yes, I believe I put 2 qts of the 15 or so in the converter before installing the trans. It has been over a year now and can't remember exactly how many qts total. Remember, if your 1 qt low or over, damage can occur. You need to get a proper dipstick before starting again.
yes i did, besides the O.D. i dont think anything is wrong internally, because its a prtty simple set up ( way easyier than FWDs).. i am hoping it is the fluid, but everything is closed right now so ima be stressing out allll night
Why would your dipstick be too short? If you put a deeper pan on there, the fill level should still be the same. It just takes more fluid to get it up to the fill level. I have a semi-deep pan. On my trans oil change, I think I put in around 12 quarts. The TC was already full, too! If you have the stock dipstick, I would suggest using it and filling to the recommended level.
i have a billet shaft in it, it trys to move and moves a little bit but nothing
