here is the deal. i had a code for the gov pressure sensor.(it keeps going into limp mode) so i replaced it and the transducer. there is a tsb out for erroneous gov codes same as i am having. that did not fix the issue. i thought it might be the fluid. it wasnt burnt but it was disolored. so i flushed it. didnt fix it. so im thinking the tsb applied to my symptoms. it erronious. replrogrammed from the original p/n to the latest and greatest. nope that aint it niether. so im thinking wiring issue. check for the 5 volt reference in the trans connector. 5v,good. removed the pan and ohmed the wires to the gov psi solenoid switch and transducer. all good. found the trans connector leaking oil into the pcm connector. im thinking woo hoo thats goota be it. ..... no. ohmed the wires to the pcm...good. checked the ground for voltage with engine on and off zipity doo dah. its good. drove it with the scan tool hooked to it. the scan tool is showing the ecm is requesting limp mode for coolant temp, volts low. looked around and found this engine has a single wire coolant temp for the dash gage. looking into it a little more its the coolant temp sensor for the califonia trucks. emissions motor........ also with the voltage regulater being in the pcm and the charge voltage errattic when cold. i know the pcm last forever inthese things usually but im thinking this might be the bad one. i work at the local chrysler dodge dealer and i cant fix my own truck aint that some shiznit. i think the sticker shock has me wanting it not to be that.
