what does this mean kinda confused?

Oil Capacity 1994: 10 qt. (9.5 L) with filter
11 quarts using Cummins p/n 3928740 or Dodge p/n 4796874 dipstick
11 qts by marking the dipstick 1 3/16" above the "ADD" mark


this is off of genos garage..my dipstick broke and wht does the bottom part mea by marking a 1 3/16" above the add mark..i just ordered the 3928740 off genos and i not sure if i use 11qts or 10qts..thanks

Dunno. Have you checked at dodge? I got mine from the stealership for somewheres between 15 and 20$ I do believe.

In '94&'95 the owners manuals were wrong but had a page stapled to them with the correct number of quarts.
That's what genos is correcting. 11 with filter is right.
I've been using 12 quarts in my trucks since new without problem.
Easier to not have a gallon jug with a quart in it hanging around.

o alrighty..ya thts cheap..called stealership today they wanted 65$ for a dam dip stick.. even the guy on the phone said it sounded like a dipstick price..hahai got it off genos for like 30$ today

Another option with the wrong dipstick is to run the engine after a 11 quart change then let it sit overnight.
Pull the dipstick out and mark the oil level then drill a small hole at the mark and another 3/4" below it.
I drilled 1/64" holes in my dipsticks even though they're the right ones, much easier to read by just looking for a hole full of oil. Most of my other diesels come with dipstick holes.
Dodge was probably just trying to save money.
