Anyone out there have the LUK Pro Gold clutch installed? How does it perform? Do you like it?:

I've heard very good things about them and if your truck is unmodded and will only get light mods in the future I think you'll be very happy with them. Another good option is a valair 13" stock organic replacement upgrade it is an awesome daily driver clutch that is affordable, a bit stronger than stock, and has a lighter pedal then stock. My buddy has one in his 24v and its great. Try to give everyone here an idea of how you use your truck and what your planned mods are as far as you know so we can best help ya.

Holds about 15% more than stock. It was a good clutch for a stock truck but didnt take much more than the basic free mods and gov springs.

I have a new Luk in my Dually and it is holding up fine. Been pulling 500 miles every night for a couple weeks now pulling roughly 10,000 lbs up and down the hills of North Alabama with no issues.

I put a luk in my truck and used to put them in a lot of diesels at a shop i worked at and we never had problems, all were fords or dodge and were stock or close to. I feel they are good for daily drivers and towers but probably aren't made for tons more power

I know this is an old post but I was looking around for info on this clutch and thought I would share my experience for others when they need something.
My mechanic talked me into this LUK pro gold clutch swearing it was as good as the Southbend. I am currently waiting in BFE waiting for a new clutch to be put in after 1 trip hauling and about 900 miles and 2 weeks. Now I have 450,000 on my truck and only had one clutch replacement and original tranny until now. I would say go a different route if you can.

I agree. I had one long time ago in my 24v and held up to a smarty/ez stack only. When i added my hotrod pump it toasted first day. Ok for a stock truck and no more.

I put one in without re-facing the flywheel. With no plate and slid AFC, it wouldn't even hold third gear!
