Smoke screw and pre boost screw

Will adjusting these show me any gain in performance? I dont want to mess with the plate at this time. The smoke screw is on top of the AFC where the allan head bolt is correct? Where is the pre boost adjustment screw located?

the term 'smoke screw' is more or less from a VE type pump.

The screw on the back of the AFC, which controls preboost fuel is often referred to as the smoke screw.

The starwheel under the allen head plug is referred to as just that, the starwheel. it controls spring pressure which changes transient fueling (fuel vs boost)

A proper tune on the AFC can definitely help with the 'get up and go', but has no effect at all on peak power. Peak power is controlled by the fuel plate
