Fuel pumps

Has anyone used one of the Fass fuel pump systems. I am considering a purchase. Still having an intermittent problem with the engine stalling on the road, "like it just runs out of fuel. If I floor the accelerator pedal after a few seconds it will pick back up and run like nothing wrong. Waiting on fuel pressure gauge to arrive.

I see no advantage to a Fass on a 12 valve, more a 24 valve thing.
Install your fuel pressure gauge before you think of throwing parts at it.

You most likely have a small air leak somewhere. If you do it can be fixed at low cost, maybe even free. Email me at jgeorge1@suddenlink.net for my 12 valve fuel supply system write up, how it works and how to fix it.

I chose the fass system for the higher pressure delivery, and for the ability to shut the fuel supply down in case of an emergency. It is wired to my kill switch. On an inertia dyno under 6-700Hp you won't see any difference. I would be curious to get a a superflow dyno and bring a truck to its knees and see how the fuel pressure holds.

Doesn't the stock cam powered pump make higher psi than any electric pump being used on 24v's?

If you get the FASS for the 12V the pump is good for 80+psi if I recall correctly. It is a big, loud pump. I can hear it over my truck idling. I get the impression though that the aeromotive pump is loud also. I like the fass cause it was clean and simple. Some guys are running the walbro pumps with great success. Just have to do a little more plumbing.
The big Fass for the 12V comes with a standpipe and all.
