No Boost According to Gauge

My boost gauge is telling me I have no boost which I don't see how that can be if it were correct.... I originally had a kink in my boost line so I replaced the line, then unless I was at WOT the needle wouldn't move and at WOT I'd only see 9psi. I then replace the line again, and all brand new fitting and now I have no boost according to the gauge.

I've already check the line and its 100% Me and my friend just checked it with a air compressor and it reads all the way to where the fitting is plugged into the engine. Could something be blocking the air flow in the engine manifold? Could the line be pushed in to far?

maybe your waste gate is frozen in the open position?try disconnecting the actuator from the linkage and move it by hand to make sure its free..does the truck have balls like its getting boost? and just not reading?

I'll check the wastegate tomorrow sometime... But yeah it still has balls. Once you hear the turbo spool it still picks up like it did before the gauge problem, but a little up date, I messed with the adapter on the side of the engine where the line plugs into (took it out and replaced it), and now at WOT I can hit 5psi. But when I see that 5psi I have to either be in OD or lock up the TC

If you're using the type of boost tubing with the brass ferule that slips over the tube ends overtightening can pinch the tubing closed.
Finger tight plus one wrench revolution is plenty.

Next time to avoid kinks push the small tubing though some 1/4" tubing.
This also protects against cuts and abrasion.
I use cheap drip irrigation tubing for the protective sheath.

I highly doubt the wastegate is stuck all the way open, mybuddy has a hx35 that only makes 15lbs and its been gradually getting worse to only get 9 is pushing it I think bill might be right and you pinched the ends of boost line.

I checked the wategate just to be safe and it's just fine. The tubing itself is 100% no kinks, pinches etc. On this last line, I only took it as far as hand tighting it and still only 5psi at WOT.

The gauge is a mechanical Autometer C2 0-60psi

have you unbolt it from the engine and shot air from an aircompressor in the tubing connected to the gauge?

does the gauge move? maybe a defective gauge

I checked thed guage with an air compressor almost immediately when I started having this issue. The guage still works with the compressor hooked up. I've checked for boost leaks, I have a small one on the intake horn gasket, but it's not big enough to be loosing 40+ psi. I'm going to hook up an old boost gauge I have today and see if that works that way I can make sure it's not the gauge

I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that my C2 boost gauge is broken. I hooked my old DiProcal up this morning, and it worked just fine. I hooked the C2 back up and nothing. Time to test out Autometer's warranty

Might not want to tell them you tested it with a compressor.
They could say you damaged it with over pressure.
