Sound like valve tick but seams to be coming from vac pump

I have a tick noise that sounds like a loose valve lash .I checked all of them and they are okay. It is coming from the drivers side and by using a long screw driver to listen to the cover ,IP ,vac pump the noise is the loudest from the vac pump. Any one have this happen pump is still making 16in vac I do not know what it should be making though

When the spring inside the lift pump gets weak there will be a tick from the pushrod on the cam. Did you listen to it?

Yes I checked that also no sound at all coming from lift pump.Vac pump has a sharp metalic clack when listening to it with a screw driver blade on pump handle to your ear. From the pictures on this site the only thing I can see that mabe doing this is the tangs that drive the ps pump.
GOULD GEAR AND ELECTRIC INC.

May pull pump and start it to see if noise goes away.

I pulled my vac pump to check drive tang and found that the gear has two broken teeth. KDP has been done it was not that. I found both teeth below the cam gear in the housing.Motor has around 190k. this sounded like a valve that had too much lash. Make sure that tic that you think is a fuel pump really is.Using a long screw driver you could hear the noise the loudest from the vacuum pump.
