So, that being the case, how much power are these guys putting out to need the triple and 5disk TQs? It must be an absurd amount! The aftermarked had me convinced that the MINIMAL I would need was a triple. Damn the power of advertising!

I know gus made a few 11.? passes and had I dont know how many hooks on a sled on his but it is just personal preference really. Had I known then what I know now I would have went with a DTT single disc. The triple is ALOT heavier. BB are you running a single disc?

Wow! Well, this is all really good news! Im guessing by the fact that DTT is being thrown around quite a bit that they are reputable for the single disk TQ. What about their VBs? Any advise on those? Is a simple "shift kit" not essentially the same dern thing?

The VB's can vary depending on what you are looking for.

I would give them a call and see what they offer for your application. You probably dont want what I have, 2nd gear has been known to loosen your dental work.

Well, Ive called Goerend(who has yet to return my call), DTT, and HTS and I have YET to find a resonably priced converter. The cheapest any of these have been was $1075. Damn, Im not looking for a friggin' race converter! Just something with better driveablility and a lil stronger than stock.
Then i came across a company called Midwest Racing Converters. $550!!! With billet front portion and all! Claiming same quality as any of the above(note: CLAIMING).
Now, dont get me wrong, Im not one to pinch pennies over a few hundred bux and risk comprimising quality, but we are talking a SIGNIFICANT price difference here! Like...half price! Anyone have any experience with this company?

was that DTT price for a triple disc or single. I was thinking goerends single was well under a thousand too.

Yeah, I think the Goerends and Suncoast are both under a grand for a single disc.

One thing to look at with Dave's converter is the triple disc come with a lifetime warranty. Dave will call you back. He is very busy and it may take a day or 2 to get back with you. He won't forget about ya! Even when I order a transmission from Dave it can take some time to hear back from him.

Ok. Good. I guess im a little impatient. I will wait on Dave to contact me before I purchase anything.
DTT said this was the "cheapest" pricewise that they carried.
Suncoast? Guess ill look them up now!
