NV4500 swap complete...but questions

I just finished my swap this weekend and things went fairly smooth. However, I have a couple of questions. How do you get cruise control to work? Light on steering wheel comes on but doesn't function. I wired up nss to ground and to black/white wire from auto plug. I don't have the male plug for the back-up lights yet so its not wired. Would that be why I don't have cruise? Thanks for help in advance!

i have completed the nv4500 swap. i will look at all data tomarrow and find out which wire it is. You just have to cut one wire at the PCM and it will work. Basicly what your doing is when you ground that wire from auto harness for starting purposes you make the pcm think truck is in park or neutral all the time and cruise will not activate. There is a splice in harness though so when you cut this wire the ingnition swich will think that truck is in neutral but pcm isnt getting the ground signal and cruise will work. I posted about this awhile back. I will try to look at all data and get back with you

You have to cut a black wire in the center plug on the pcm, but I cant remember which one it is or if it is the only black wire on that specific plug.

Thanks for your help with this! I wired up my back up light switch today and now I have cruise control but it is a little choppy. And by choppy I mean that when I am cruising around 60 with cruise on it kinda speeds up and slows back down. Would cutting the wire you are talking about take care of this?
