High Rev.

My old mans 98' will rev high after and during tow sometimes...he just put a new throttle cable in not too long ago so I think that might be ruled out. Any other suggestions.

Throttle return spring?
Any of the other cables frayed?
Linkage need lubed?

I guess my question is...is there any kind of sensor on the 12v that could cause this?

There is not a sensor that controls the throttle on the 12v. I agree with racer9 you may have a bad return spring or your linkage may need to be lubed.

Revs high? Like the low idle is high?

I've seen throttle return springs break on the P7100 trucks. Mine did.
