Im getting so tired of this.

It seems like every time my truck is finally running right something goes wrong. For the last couple of days when I star my truck it idles for about a second and then dies after about 2-4 times of this it will start then run fine. If I giver her a little throttle she will start right up most of the time but not all of it. Well today when I turned it off in the drive thru it would not start at all after about 10 attempts and people getting pissed behind me it started and I held her at 2k for a few seconds after that she is fine. I’m getting so tired of this it was doing great for about a week now this. There is a little bit of something on the ground were I park but it rained and Im not sure if its old or new if anyone has any ideas im all ears. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Chris

Sounds like you are getting air in the fuel or loosing your prime.

To check if it is the overflow valve, try clamping the fuel return line (rubber) after the overflow vavle close with a vise-grip or a clamp. Then start the engine and let it run for a while (10min or so), and then shut it down for maybe a couple hours, perhaps overnight, if the clamp holds prime, it will start again and the overflow valve may have to be replaced. If it still don't start ok, then it could be a faulty fuel line.
