47re tps questions.

ok, i searched for a while and cant come up with what im looking for. my 96 just started acting up lately, a few weeks ago i noticed that the converter would unlock every so often, very rarely tho. then, it kinda got worse real fast and started doing it a lot, so i put in a lockup switch to control it cause i have to go to work and no time to work on it and i drive mostly highway. but, lately is seems that the shifts are a little off, when its cold it shifts firm from 1-2 then 2-3 slides nicely, 3-4 is very distinct, but when warm, it kinda blend shifts real fast, and if i dont make a complete stop it takes off in third. i know the tps needs to be looked at, but would the tps also cause the other issues? im going to check the tps this weekend but am kinda stumped on the shifts.

thanks guys

ps, i cleaned the terminals and that helped a lot with the converter locking. so im ordering a noise filter soon.

thanks guys.

i dont think so, i just got the truck not too long ago, it shifted great, and hasnt gave me any problems until the last 2 weeks or so, the fluid is perfect, not burnt at all. it seems like a electrical issue, thats why i was thinking tps, my friends 4l80 in his chevy did a lot of wierd stuff like this when his went out, so i was hopin it would be that. the truck only has 150k on it. been bone stock its whole life, didnt even pull trailers.

oh, and heres another odd thing, if i manually pull it to first it takes off good, shifts great into 2nd when i move it, but when i move it to third it revs up a little from 2nd to 3rd then shifts. is that normal for this truck? guess ive never had to manually shift it before.
