5.9 swap

what all do you have to do to swap a cummins into a gasser 1500
what all wires will i need and are the axels dana 60 or will ui have to swap them too

94 cummins , hx40 , 370 marine injectors , 3k gov springs , laser cut dvs , cam , lockup controler , tci stage 5 tc , suncoast valve body , 150 shot , 5 psi of propane , #10 plate slid , afc slid , extreme duty clutch kit , 6 in . stacks

thats probably not a feasable swap, more time then money than youd really wanna spend, you gotta factor in all the heavy duty suspension components as well with a 1500 cause thatll hardly hold the weight of cummins engine. from swapping the axles, shocks, front suspension, wiring youd be better just buying a 2500 imho

can be done but you will be switching all the 1500 parts to 2500 parts to handle the extra weight. I my opinon it is not worth it.

why do you want to do it?

Pretty much everything in front of the windshield, minus the hood, fenders and the bumper.

what about the 2500 with the v10 are they the same

Yeah they are the same. if you get a v10 with the 5spd they are the same as the 5.9 too. autos are different

Frame? Once you swap all those parts over the frame is still going to be light duty. Another vote for 2500

still a 2500 frame. its the 1500 frames that cant handle the extra weight and the twist that comes with the cummins

How about you take a reg. cab long bed and make it a reg cab short bet get a new bed and shorten the frame might be just as easy.
