Turbo question

96 2500 4X4 with gauges, 4K gsk, BHAF, 4" turbo back, boost elbow, 10 0 plate and prime lock. When I first put the mods on, boost would hit 30psi, now at 22-24psi the pop off goes and drops all the power, egt runs 1150 when towing in 5th gear. Causes real probs when towing. Any clues as to the problem?

I'm having a similiar problem... but i hear a hiss from the drivers side. I tried finding a leak using compressed air into the turbo using a adapter i made but i got nowhere. Cruising around my boost dropped from like 6 psi at 65 to about 2-3 psi. It only boosts to 25ish psi. Used to do atleast 34.

either a boost leak or the wastegate actuator is opening when its not suppose to. More than likely a boost leak from what you are saying. Check everything over very well and if you can build a plug for the turbo use some compressed air and soapy water to check for leaks as well.
