fuel shutoff help please

ok I was just checking stuff out getting ready to start it after all my problems and with the new solenoid
and it still would not engage even with a new relay I have no voltage to the switch and it will not energize I cannot find a fuseable link and I don’t find a fuse marked spare that is either burned or gone

when I put 12 v with the key on to energize wire where the relay did plug in to the solenoid then pulls up and latches on so the latch circuit is working should I have 12 v to the relay at all times on the large lug or is there a relay somewhere else that is burned out this is really driving me mad I am going to go buy a momentary switch and run it manually till I figure this out and both of my pre heater solenoids are burned out I am going to put a starter relay from a old ford on it 2 of them they are bullet proof

as always all help is appreciated

The dark blue wire going to the relay should be hot all the time. If not then look for a fusible link going to driver's side battery or a fuse in the fuse holder on driver's side fender marked "spare". If you do find a fuse marked "spare" check it and make sure you have voltage going to one of the terminals. If not, you could have an even larger fuse that feeds all those fuses bad.

Ford starter relay might last for one "glow".

Well I got it figured out had a 50 amp fuse blown on a 98 the fuse that feeds the relay is the 50 amp diesel start that solved the relay problem now on to the pre heater I put in the ford relays and turned the key they came on and did not shutoff I had to disengage the battery now I know why the old ones were burned up they stayed on till they melted the plastic and lost contact that explains the hard starting luckily had a setup all ready to go for my skid steer fourthgen makes a diesel relay that is as close to plug and play there is I used their solenoid to fire the 2 ford one and when the light they provide goes out it fires any way I am waiting for the oil to drain so I can fill and take it for its maiden voyage god I hope this works

ok and the ford starter relay is about 4 times as heavy duty as the original I have pumped 600 amps through them before they burn up they use them on tons of other apps if it has a 12v motor a lot of times they use that relay

The Ford relays are much heavier than the stock grid relays.
Problem people get into when they try to use them is the case is grounded unless you ask for one with an ungrounded case.
If the case is grounded and you don't isolate it from ground the grids will stay on all the time since it's a ground signal that activates the the relays.
Positive is there all the time when the key is on.

good point i did some checking and even if i isoliate the relay and only use the ground to trigger it it still stays on all the time so I checked it with a meter and no mater what the ground stays on it never shuts off I do belive that what operates the relays are bad right now I have it solved this works well
