Red face TPS plug voltages ?

Could someone tell me if these numbers are right?

4.99V -Purple w/white stripe.
4.52V-Orangew/black stripe.
These are the voltages I'm getting.I didn't think I should have any at the signal wire. But I thought I should ask. Thanks

Well, I couldn't get a voltage value on just the orange and dark blue stripe wire on the plug.I'm trying to track down a short.

Would anyone be willing to check that wire's voltage on their truck with the key on ? pretty please lol. It sure would help me out.

It seems like only one wire should have 5v.

Bump up for someone that has a voltmeter and a 12 valve.Sorry to be a PITA but my i changed my tps and brake light switch and still no od or tcc lock up.I even put in a lock up switch which Does lock up the tc.but still no od.Which i still think is due to the high voltage on this orange/dark blue wire. I just need someone to check theirs and help this dork out.

High voltage on signal wire should cause premature OD and lockup. As directions state you should have 1.2 - 1.5 at idle and 3.5 to 5.0 at WOT. The change in voltage just tells the PCM how much go pedal you are giving it. Check signal wire with plug unplugged and verify no voltage. If you still have voltage when unplugged, then you have short between signal and power wires or bad PCM. If no voltage plug TPS back in and check voltage with throttle in idle position. If you are still getting too high voltage, try adjusting TPS and if this doesn't work, then you have a bad TPS sending too much voltage through it.

Are you having ANY other issues besides OD and converter lockup. Does speedo work properly? Does tach work properly? Does AC work properly? Does alternator charge properly? Does cruise control work? A bad or unhooked temp sender in trans oil cooler line can cause your problems. A bad solenoid in trans can cause no OD. A bad PCM can cause your problems. Internal problems in trans can cause your problems.

You need to check each individual circuit carefully before throwing more parts at it. Sometimes you might hit the right part and sometimes not. You will save yourself lots of money by diagnosing prior to fixing.

Well, just to make sure.I cut the orange/D blue wire at the pcm and was still getting 4.52v from the pcm. Is my pcm to blame? Remember coming From the pcm about six inches is where I cut the wire and am getting this voltage.

If you are getting voltage on signal (orange/d blue) wire coming FROM pcm, then I'm thinking you very well could have pcm problems. Hopefully some others will chime in here and say "Oh, no, check this". I don't want to see you purchase a pcm if yours is not broke.

Have you by any chance scanned for any codes? Your speedo is also controlled by the pcm. Are you by any chance having any other problems beside speedo or trans? Any little problem you don't think may be connected. It's not commom, but pcm's do go bad.

I read on here the other day someone purchased one from either Advance or Auto Zone (believe this one) for around $233 with exchange.
