l was watching trucks on powerblock and they said the rear driveshaft on a manual truck is 5 1/8" longer than an auto so l am going to take some measurements tomorrow and see if there right. As for the hole l got lucky and my truck has a rubber mat in it and the mat is traced out for an auto 2wd, auto 4wd, and manual 4wd truck so when you get it you just cut the peice or peices out you need to fit your configuration take off your shift boots and clip then on over top of it, l am going to use this and check it with the 98+ console/boot.

Well guys we got started on it today me and my dad spent 4hrs on it. We got the trans and transfer case pulled, I got the pedals hung. I snapped a few pictures of this, most of it you should probably have an idea of how to do. This is just a shot of the rearend after the driveshaft was pulled. ![]() Here is the transfer case in the truck after the driveshaft was pulled. ![]() When your trying to get the transfer case bolts and electrical connectors off I found it easier to pull the trans mount and lower the transfer case and transmission so you can access the top of it through the 4wd shifter hole if your 2wd you wont have to worry about either. ![]() Here is the transmission and transfer case out of the truck not much you havent seen. You will notice I left the shift linkage and driveshaft on the transfer case this is manily because it was a pain to get either off and it didnt make any difference when I pulled it out. ![]() ![]() Here is the truck without the trans/transfer case in it this is probaby the best sight I have seen in a while, I am so happy to see that peice of junk gone. ![]() On to the pedals, this took me a whole 5 minutes, I took the plastic cover off so I could access the bottom of the steering column/pedals it was held on by 4 phillps head screws. I took the clip off of the drivers side. To do this I turned the mouth of the clip towards me put a big flat head screw driver on the front of the clip and smacked the screw driver with the palm of my hand this sent the clip flying towards the firewall and it ended up rolling down right to my tools on the floor boards. Next I took the clip off of the brake pedals to release the rod for my brake master cylinder. I then slide the pin out towards the passenger side of the truck. There are 4 white bushing on the auto pedals and 6 on the manual pedals on. The outside of the bracket that holds the pedals has one on both ends (passenger/drivers side) then one bushing goes on each end of the tube thats holds hols each pedal. so there are 4 total on the inside of the bracket. I started by pushing the brake pedal with both bushing on it onto the oin that holds them and got the pin flush with the outside of the brake pedal. I then slide the clutch pedal in and had to wiggle it around a little but it eventually lined up and the pin slide through with no problem. I then put the clip on with the mouth facing the firewall and smacked it and it went right on no problem. now make sure the clips are on the brake master rod, and clutch rod. ![]() ![]()

Tomorrow we plan on pulling the flexplate off, bolting the flywheel/clutch onto the motor, cutting the floor board, re-routing my gauges since I ran it throught the hole for my clutch master, then running the hydraulics. I will snap some pictures of all of that and try to take a few more than did today.
