Hey I have a few Questions I hope I can get some help with!

Im looking at maybe buying a 1997 2500 with 201,xxx miles and i was hoping you guys could tell me so of the problems you have had with a similar truck.

dont forget the transmission and water pump, mine went out after i reach 230000

These trucks are brutally hard on everything in the front end

And like mentioned above, KDP, possibly trans (especially if the engine has been modded).

If its 4wd you will definitely want to make sure that its working, the CAD in the front axle is pretty failure prone after this many years. Though its not a hugely expensive fix, its just something to work down the price if hes asking too much.

How much is the truck going for?$?$

Right now I have the seller down to 7000 but im hoping i can talk him down some more. Originally he wanted 9500 but i deff dont think it is worth that much

I have been looking around for some answers for the dowel pin but i really have not been able to find to much. I was hoping some one could give me a straight answer about whats up with it and the best way to go about replacing it?

Read about it, find out how to prevent it and buy a kit here Dowel Pin Repair Kit for 89-93 or 99-02

It doesn't matter how many miles the engine has, the KDP can fall out at any time.
Worse case scenario is it can cost you entire new engine.

Hey Matt gettin ready to do the KDP sometime this week probably in my truck, if this is the same Matt Kelly i know then come on over n you can see what it is, pretty simple really.
