My strongest is when ever my torque converter is locked up. Pretty much in any auto that's where the peak power is. The TC sucks up al ot of the power when it is not in lock up
I'd like to say first in an auto as the higher the "gear" the easier it is for an auto to slip. Third is where I would be for towing over 10000 with a built auto.
So gear selector shifted to "1" is the stronges then? I remember reading something about extra clutches gets engauged then.
I was just thinking, when I sand camp and drag my toyhauler to the spot, should I stay in 1 hi or 3 lo . Considering Im watching my trans temp in 1hi with unlocked TC
Yes, manually select gear 1, it has an extra clutch holding as well as the one way clutch that holds it when in d.
