New wheel bearing and stud help

What is the best way to get the studs through my new hub assembly? I tried pounding them through but ruined the bearing in the hub (it fell apart). I don't have an impact big enough but I can take it to my buddy's if thats the best way.

I pound them with a drift and hand sledge then suck them down with a pile of washers on the stud and a 300 ft/lb impact.
Make sure to retorque the lugs again after you drive, they always seat some more.

DONT BEAT ON THEM!!! Line them up in the hub, and pull them through with a breaker bar and socket. If you beat them, it will damage the threads, and pulling them through will seat them tightly in the wheel assembly. After a week, tighten again, just did my truck, and it worked perfectly!! Good luck, really gives you a work out..LOL

How can that be when the threaded part of the stud slides easily though the hole in the rotor?
It only gets tight down at the base of the stud.

I'm pounding the through the new assembly from the back so the threads will be fine. I'll just take them to my buddy's this time to draw them through then I'll get an impact for next time. Thanks for your help!

I think he's talking about beating them out, not in.
