Guess this belongs here - Wastegate modification

Is there a write up somewhere that explains how to modify the wastegate so it vents all 6 cylinders, instead of just the back 3? Also what does doing this do? other than keeping you from killing the first 3 with excess boost? Does it help with EGT's? Also when doing this does it make it sound more obvious when you get out of it and the cylinders vent?

Drill the hole all the way though, cut out the divider or use an undivided spacer.

does this give any kind of performance gain or cause any extra noise or is it just to keep from blowing those front 3 cylinders if you start making big boost?

Drilling out the web creates faster spool up and lower egts.
The Banks kits that everyone loves to cuss add this mod to the turbo.

this doesn't add up to me, i don't know 12's well (someone please enllighten me) if you're boosting the whole valley of the head then how will you overboost the front 3 cyl? all 6 are still getting boost, just less as the wastegate is allowing SOME of the exhuast to bypass the turbine, thus not spinning the turbo as much and less boost. if you wastegate all 6 cyl, it will just have too actuate the wastegate less to achieve the same decrease in boost right? are 12v's that diff than the 24v's on the wastegate?

i may be off here LOL
