4000 gsk

just installed a 4000 kit on my truck and all i can say is WOW. my truck came out of hibernation . the truck is absolutely amazing now. just keeps pullin and pullin. but i definitely need to put a turbo on my truck now. it gets extremely hot now. definitely have to watch my egts. i wasnt paying attention and i hit 1500 degrees post turbo! that made me open my eyes a little wider haha. but thought id share how happy i am with the 4000 gsk kit
cheers

does this actually add any power to the motor? or does it just let you use the power you have longer without going to a higher gear?

so in other words yeah it just lets you run the power you have longer. would i really need it if i have no intentions of racing or hauling or pulling?

4K gsk... Not so much, however, you would be extremely happy if you went with some 3K springs. Especially if you do any kind of towing with your truck. 3K springs do not leave you with a touchy go pedal nor do they require the pain of putting in the heavy duty valve springs. I did the 3K springs and have now stepped up to the 4K gsk for sled pulling. I gaurantee that you would kick yourself for not doing this mod sooner. There are no drawbacks to putting in the 3K kit.

Sup fella's. Been thinking about getting a 3 GSK or 4 GSK kit. Dunno which yet.. But I'd think it would put more stress turning the R's on the ol gal. Other than valve springs, Ever heard of any other problems.. I"m not goin to go out and race or anything.. Just tired of pulling skid steers around and she just falls off after 2500. Mecahnically in pretty good shape, change the LOF every 5K.. I just hate to put the kit in and tear up stuff and it starts to cost more than it helps. She's got 176K on her now... Thanks for the input!!!

if you are not planning on racing or anything like that i would just stick with the 3000 gsk. i went with the 4000 because im gnna be racing and sled pullin with my truck and need that extra 1000 rpm lol.
