Noise when putting built trans in park

Hey guys, got my truck back from putting the built trans in on Saturday, and i havent been beating on it like per advice from Charles, and Dusty at HTS said it needs to cycle through the gears 50 times or so, and break in.

Well i put it in park today, and its making this grinding weird noise when it goes into park then its fine, and doesnt do it going into any of hte other gears. Any ideas? I hope its not messed up
The trans is a HTS extreme duty with the road runner quadlock convertor, and suncoast flexplate.

Any input would be great.

it sounds like what mine does when i put it in park, i found out if i stop real qucik and put it in park it will grind into park, btu fi i stop and wait a second or 2 then put it in park it goes it alot better and fine. i figured it was the increase in line pressure making it do it when it goes from one gear back to park to fast. but just my thought on the matter

Jonw- Thanks for the input man, i will wait to put it into park and see if that cures it. Thing is it didnt really do until the first time tonight... but the trans is still fresh so we will see.

i noticed that if i quickly put it into park, like not stopping in nuetral, reverse and then park and just go straight to park it doesnt make any noise and its fine. Im not too worried about it anymore.

I was told with my DTT to always hesitate a second in neutral before putting it in park from any gear but especially reverse. Something about the line pressure in reverse being very high. Works great!
