4" or 5" exhaust?

about to take the exhaust purchase plunge... my future plans are to install a bulletproof transmission and do the fuel plate thing and/or fuel injectors. so i was wondering if i should just get a 5" exhaust now and be done with it or wait until i do the other upgrades? is there harm or a problem with having a 5" exhaust with everything else stock? thanks.

There Sholdnt Be Any Harm Running 5" Its Going To Sound Awsome But Depending On Hp #s 4" Will Be Good Enough To Handle 600HP

i think you should just get the 4" system. There is really no need for 5" untill you get some major major power.
Like ctd03 said, 4inch will take you way past 500hp.
It will be a lot cheaper than 5" also.

yeah, i already priced the 4" with a "sneaker pipe." i think i will be going with this as it is significantly cheaper than the 5". i am just hoping it will be as offensively loud as a 5" system could be? i figured having the straight pipe should sound nice. my hopes are to have it sound deep and loud. you guys know the type.

the 4inch system is pretty deep and loud too. I think you will be happy with.

I am upgrading my 03 to all 4" because i am pretty darn hot but my truck has 3.5 to a 4" tale pipe so it not going to be as much as a full 4'" but i am getting 4'' from turbo down

got the 4" straight pipe from source automotive and installed it with my neighbor and it sounds incredible. it sounds like one of those huge dump trucks. thanks for the advice everyone.
