Hood Stack Cut Out into Regular Exhaust?

I am building a pull/drag/street truck currently and love the look of a hood stack. I know they are not legal in my area

I was thinking about running a cut out under the hood (one going up towards hood and one going down to factory exhaust location) that way I could run either. When I wanted to run the hood stack I would just have to remove the block off plate or turn the valve and install the stack out the hood and if I didnt wanna run the hood stack I would just reinstall the block off plate or turn the valve

I know I would have a hole in my hood but could easily rivet on some kind of nice removable cover.

Its not something I NEED to do but I want to do everything possible to make my truck different from all the other diesel guys in my town but still keep the clean look.

Has anyone seen anything like this?

Heres my opinion.
hood stacks are cool on beefed up 1st gens.
On a 2nd gen it its not cool unless your truck is a drag truck or sled puller.
I think to support a hood stack you need to back it up with big horsepower numbers.

i think it would be super annoying for a daily driver, and as for having both types of exhaust and being able to pick which one you want to to flip on is just not realistic.

pick your poison

Jegs makes a 4" cut out run by a switch. Do a hood stack, then have the full exhaust dump over the back axle with no tip, so it isn't visible.
