tuned afc......14mpg at the best..

How can I pick up fuel mileage

96 3500,nv4500 swap, racked barrels,27* timing,5x.12's, ii silver 64 ,4"exhaust, full cut dv's , 0 plate, afc tuned, rack plug,4k's, 80lb springs, titanium keepers retainers, studs, fire rings. DD and part time puller

No offense, but a thread pretty much like this started a few hours earlier...

Here's a twist my fuel mileage has progressively gotten qorse over the last six months.... and I dont srive qny different.3.55 gears

Rotated barrels? Did you take your pump in or do this on your own? How many miles on the truck and injectors? Have you checked your timing lately?

Well as much as it pains me to agree with him, I do... It's not like turning the fuel screw on a ve44 pump. But if I were going to guess, I would say that and timing. I'd think about pulling the pump and having it looked over and re-balanced.

im only chiming in because my gas mileage had been dropping gradually and last i checked it was 14mpgs. i went to regear my truck tuesday and during inspection i actyually found the shims on the pinion worn out and i had about a inch of play. i had NO noise and the normal slight clunk when appling in gear. i installed some 4.10s and took out my 3.55s and now im def getting better gas mileage.

anyways my point is make sure nothing is creating drag in the driveline.

there just sitting on the bench now. i dont recommend running them if you have bigger tires. trans dont like it and it makes it lug some. pm me if your intrested in buying them
