12v beginner mods list

Well i posted awhile back about my dads 97 12v bonestock 5speed...he is ready to pull the trigger on the mods...I made him read the performance basics....

Here is the list

bhaf
mbrp exhaust
4k gsk and hd valve springs

I told him he can get away with a single disk clutch if he just sticked with that setup. Anymore a ddclutch.

Were not messing with the plate or starwheel because he doesnt have gauges for now.

SO what do you think?

That sounds good. I think he could get away with a stock clutch if he doesnt plan to mess with the pump any. But yeah if he plans on making more power later on than he should go ahead with a clutch. Gauges when you get the money also

2006 2500: Excessive chrome

he just told me down the road he wants to do injectors, fuel plate, turbo 500ish goal...so i said better go with a dd clutch now and gauges....im excited for him...

Sounds good but he doesn't need 60# valve springs unless he wants to turn over 3300 rpm which I don't see happening. Also I would slide the plate full forward, mod the AFC for full travel and slide it full forward, shouldn't have any EGT problems.

he does want to rev to 4k thats why he is going to order 4k with hd springs...so down the road it will compliment turbo and injectors. He will get gauges though..ill make him lol
